Cheongju’s Heungdeok Temple

The Korean Craft Museum

Cheongju, a small city to the west of Seoul, has a prominent place in international history as the location where the world’s oldest movable metal type print book, called a jikji, was first created. An official UNESCO artifact, it’s currently in France, but tourists can pay a visit to the Heungdeok Temple, reportedly the site of  its printing.  Other attractions include  Spa-Ville, a  paradise for sauna-lovers.
